Holland Township Recreation will be offering TWO different divisions of play for Girls Little League Softball for the 2026 spring/summer season.
*Please note that birth certificates are required to accompany all registrations!

$100.00 per participant - includes jersey
* Each participant must provide their own softball glove, black softball pants, and softball shoes/cleats (no metal spikes).
*New equipment can be purchased at Dick's Sporting Goods or Dunham's.

Divisions Available

9-, 10- & 11-Years Old's – Minor League Division
This level is basically for 3rd & 4th grade players only. The 9 years old division is for players that would like a STEP UP from the coach pitch league. For the 2026 season, this league will be a live arm girl pitch for the entire season.

10-, 11- & 12-Years Old's – Major League Division
This level is basically for 5th & 6th grade players, only. It can be open the 12-year-old 7th graders as well. The 10-, 11- & 12-years old division is for 10-, 11- & 12-years old children that are familiar with live arm pitching in the game. No machines will be utilized at this level for game play. Machine pitch could be used during team practice, only! This division is also for 9-year-old children that are capable of handling the next level of play.

Program Timeline - Practices & Games

* Team practices will begin the last week of March 2026 or the first week of April 2026. You can expect at least two weeknight practices a week prior to games starting. Some teams will try to add an additional Saturday morning practice as well. Team practices will take place outdoors at Quincy Park, Helder Park, or various elementary school fields on the north side of Holland. 

* The Girls Little League regular season of GAMES typically run from the end of April / beginning of May through the middle of June. Each team will have a total of 12-14 games scheduled on various weeknights with possible Saturday morning games, depending on which division the participant is in. 

* We play in a local area league featuring teams from Holland and Zeeland. Each team will have a combination of home & away games. Some local travel will be required. Home games will take place at either Helder Park Softball Fields and/or Quincy Park Softball Fields. 

2026 Girls Little League Softball Sponsorship Opportunities

The Holland Township Recreation Department has been offering the Girls Little League Softball for twelve years as part of a Lakeshore Area League. Historically, we have had over 60 - 65 girls participate in our competitive Girls Little League Softball program annually and it continues to grow each season.  We offer a Girls Little League Minors option for 9 & 10 year old’s and a Girls Little League Majors option for 11 & 12 year old’s. Team practices, games and coaching instruction are all included for both of the leagues.

As we enter the 2026 season, it is our goal to further enhance the safety, competitiveness, and satisfaction of our program. It is a big task to keep our girls in equipment and provide the funding to make this league a reality for players. We are currently in need of support for our teams with safety equipment, softball bats, catcher’s equipment, catcher’s gloves, batting helmets, practice softballs, game play softballs and more.
